As a designer, my philosophy centers around resolving issues through intuitive and purposeful design. I am motivated by crafting products and experiences that enhance our lives and enrich our communities.
My journey into UX design might feel a bit odd if you think about my background as a registered nurse. Although it might feel like a drastic change in some ways they are very similar. No, not in the way where i can draw blood samples and give you medicin but in the sense of problem solving, empathy and user centered focus.
As a nurse I’ve acquired a range of skills and insights that I believe will be highly valuable as a UX designer. For example my time working in the Intensive Emergency Care taught me invaluable importance of how great teamwork among different roles is fundamental to saving lives. Other skills i have gotten as a nurse is real time problem solving skills as problems aim to happen everywhere, but especially in a high-stress environment. Because of my experience as nurse I have a unique perspective when tackling design problems and even in life.
Outside of design - I enjoy spending time outdoors for some fresh air, cozying up indoors watching my current favorite show The Mentalist and letting my creativity juice flow through digital design.
Hi again!
